How would you like to help feed hungry residents in our community at no cost, all while getting a tax deduction? Thanks to SoCal Harvest, you can. This past weekend, I celebrated the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday by joining other volunteers and SoCal Harvest to pick six hundred pounds of oranges from a resident's West Long Beach home. All those oranges will go to local food banks. If you would like to allow volunteers to come harvest excess fruit from a tree at your house, please contact SoCal Harvest and help fight hunger right here in Long Beach.

I will send out information on the new date once we have everything arranged.
We may not be doing a tree planting this weekend due to the weather, but I would like to work with you to facilitate a planting in your neighborhood. If you or your neighbors would like a street tree in the parkway (the space between the sidewalk and the curb) in front of your home, please
